On this page
Tips for Safety is an independent website that collects everyday safety questions and organizes practical answers about food, travel, animals, babies and life at home.
Who publishes this site
Tips for Safety is owned, edited and published by Gwendal Goron, an independent web publisher based in France. Every page on this site is published under his editorial responsibility. If you have a question or a correction, you can reach the publisher directly at contact@tipsforsafety.com.
Author names
Articles in the archive appear under house pen names. These bylines do not identify medical or safety professionals, and they should not be read as individual credentials. Editorial responsibility for every article, whatever byline it carries, rests with the publisher named above.
How articles are prepared
Articles gather publicly available guidance on everyday safety topics and link to their references, so you can read each recommendation in its original context. The reading guide explains how to follow those references. Where an article touches on health, food or child safety, the sources we point to take precedence over our summary: always rely on the linked official guidance and on qualified professionals rather than on this site alone.
How the review works
The article library is under an ongoing editorial review. We are checking articles against their sources, tightening or removing weak pages, and consolidating overlapping topics. This work is done progressively: an article that has not yet been re-reviewed reflects the state of its sources at the time it was written. Reader reports speed this up. If you find an error, an outdated recommendation or a broken reference, write to contact@tipsforsafety.com and the page will be reviewed, then corrected or removed.
What this site is not
Tips for Safety provides general information only. It is not medical, veterinary, legal or professional safety advice, and it does not replace the judgement of a qualified professional who knows your situation. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Advertising and links
The site displays advertising, and some outgoing links to retailers are affiliate links, which means the site may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them. Advertising and affiliate programs never determine what an article recommends.
